Session 1
Skill Development: Distance Control
Part 1 | Long Game Training
Time: 2o Minutes
Part 2 | Short Game: Long Pitch
Time: 2o Minutes
For all pitch shots I would recommend to shorten your grip to create more control.
Let’s start to build two different backswing lengths to hit different distances.
Time: 10 min | Number of Balls: 10
Control the length of your shot by varying your backswing length. We start with the short pitching swing.

Take a Pitching Wedge and try a short backswing. If you imagine a clock around you, the hands should be approximately at 9 o’clock.

Your follow-through should always be approximately shoulder-high to accelerate on the way through.
Hit 10 Balls and see how far they go with a Pitching Wedge
Time: 10 min | Number of Balls: 10
Control the length of your shot by varying your backswing length. This time the long pitching position.

Take a Pitching Wedge and try a longer backswing. If you imagine a clock around you, the hands should be approximately at 10:30.

Your follow-through should always be approximately shoulder-high to accelerate on the way through.
