Session 1

Skill Development: Ability to use the bottom of the club

Part 1 | Iron Distance Control

Time: 2o Minutes

Time: 10 min | Number of Balls: 0

Try to create a shallow divot with practice swings.

10x practice swings with shallow divots.

Let the club slide, don’t hit any balls. Just focus on making contact with the ground. They don’t have to be perfectly in front of the line. But the divots need to be SHALLOW, FLAT and LONG.

Do you still have a very DEEP and SHORT divot?

Then try the iron basics again. You have to create a shallow divot first, to continue with the next drills.

Within the 10 minutes you can repeat this as often as you want.

With a mid ball position, a mid weight transfer is necessary, to hit the ground after the ball.

With a front ball position, a lot of weight transfer is necessary, to hit the ground after the ball.
